First Terminal Examination
Our students sat for the first term exams of this academic year. Students sit a full set of 4 internal exams in a year.
While going through these exams students are prepared to rectify their shortcomings and improve their overall performance. A week-long examination comprised of written and practical exams. Now the exams have come to an end, teachers are preparing to publish the results soon.
Yoga Day
Nepal is a beautiful, mystical Himalayan country and has a rich spiritual value. And we have people who believe in spiritual retreats that have made Nepal the ultimate yoga destination. We also have significant numbers of yoga centers in Nepal. As a school, our priority is to provide a holistic approach to the health and well-being of children. In the pursuit of this, on International Yoga Day our students and teachers participated in a yoga session.
Our teachers guided students through various asanas followed by Om chantings. They also demonstrated different breathing techniques and postures. Our teachers narrated the benefits of yoga and students enjoyed the session with enthusiasm and vigor. Yoga is not only physical activity, it is also the practice of mindfulness. Our students performed a very spirited performance. The peace of doing yoga was amply visible on the faces of the students.
YouMe Farm – Work in Progress
Learning by doing, our students from Grade Seven, Eight and Nine finally planted various seeds in the farm where they had been preparing for weeks now. Starting off they prepared the land by harrowing and leveling field. The students were guided and helped by teachers. We are happy to see our students enjoy the process of applying the theoretical knowledge in practice.
Most of the students are from agricultural families and they are greatly familiar with the concept of farming. Yet putting efforts personally gives our students firsthand experience of knowing the process from the beginning. It has proven to be effective and powerful to see their hard work come to fruition.
This year they have planted cabbage, radish, carrot, beans in the farm. We are as excited as they are and we can’t wait to see the outcome. In the meantime, our students will keep visiting and monitoring the site to see track the progress.

Cultural and Intergenerational Exchange Program (Nepal, Japan, USA)
A year ago, we started a project with a purpose of connecting students through a popular chatting app Discord with the GLI team (Global Language Institue). A team dedicated to provide a research based method to help students learn English language in a holistic manner. We overcame several challenges, we survived Covid and now here we are. A year passed by, but we as a determined team still continue to pursue the journey.
As we keep moving forward in this mission of connecting students globally, we introduced a new program that involved university-level students with high school-level students. We collaborated with Kyushu Kyoritsu University students in Japan, YouMe School Nepal, and Peekskill School, USA. The concept essentially is to help students build their English language fluency through shared communicative effort.
We conducted an asynchronous activity of students uploading interactive videos on the Flipgrid platform. The students used the medium to share relevant information and talk about the topics that interest them and want them to know about the other students. As a part of learning experience we organized a Zoom virtual meet-up with the students. It was beautiful to see students connect and talk on their shared interests. Not to mention, we had several gleeful moments and meaningful information exchange with the students. Overall, it was wonderful session.
Mango Day
Mango season is here. The king of fruits is enjoyed and can be seen if you wander around the groceries, fruit shops and stalls in Nepal. Mango holds a special place in Nepalese people’s heart and no wonder we have a discrete fascination towards the mangoes. People savor this heavnly fruit during summer days.
June and July are basically the seasons of mango in Nepal. Our students from Grade Nursery to Senior KG dedicated a day to mango by discovering various nutritional values of the fruit. Being a popularly relished fruit, mango is very rich in vitamins and minerals.
This was an educating event for our kids to learn about the benefits of mango. The students were told about the different types of mangoes, their shape, color, and taste. The teachers were seen donning yellow theme dresses. Our kids enjoyed the event by singing the rhymes of mangoes. Similarly they learned about mangoes in different forms. Lastly, our students enjoyed mango by having juice and mango shakes with the teachers.
