[Recent reports in Khotang]
<Japanese School Bags being distributed at YouMe School>

The moment we had all been waiting eagerly finally came to an end; we distributed Japanese School bags to students of our YouMe School. We had a small program organized where students from grade II to grade VI received the bags, students were overwhelmed and overjoyed, and they immediately started carrying their bags.
That’s how much they were excited about getting their own Japanese School bags as for they had only seen those bags in pictures, were gifted and they can actually carry those bags in real. We also had guests from Japan and Kathmandu who performed, inspired and loads of fun with our students.
<Riding a bicycle for the first time>

YouMe School, Khotang recently introduced 6 bicycles to teach kids how to ride bicycles.
As geographically challenged, bicycles at school is very rare in this area, so we are extremely happy to have provided our students with cycles for all grades where they can learn to ride, have fun meanwhile under the strict supervision of a teacher.
For many students, it is definitely the first time ever they have experienced a bicycle ride in their life and it is our pleasure to see them enjoy every bit of it.

[Recent report of online school]

We recently recruited a new local Online Class Operator, named Amar Subedi for Shree Madhyamik Vidhyalaya in Baraha. We strongly believe involvement of local people have various benefits as it not only provides them with an employment but also helps in understanding the intensity of education system in their own area and work for the betterment of it. With an enthusiast like Amar who had just completed his Bachelor’s degree and belong to the same village and school seems extremely happy to be serving his former school where the dream of quality education is in making and we also hope to see many more positive and long term changes in the lives of Baraha students and in our online class too because of people like him chose to be a change himself in his village through online class education.

[School Bags Donation Project]
About 15,000 school bags have been distributed in the state of Karnari, and school bags have been delivered to Kothang District during the year-end and New Year holidays.
Here are the details of the largest presentation ceremony (event) in Halesi City.
The venue was set up on a public school yard near YouMeSchool Kothang.
It was the largest venue, with around 2,000 eligible students at public schools in the surrounding area.
Since there was no such a big event, we had to make it from the venue. The team that was working on the extension work for YouMe School Kothang School cooperated. We built the venue out of bricks and cut bamboo into pillars.

In the morning of the day, many children had begun to gather before the delivery time. At this venue, we had a plan for more children who would spend a few hours coming from far away to have more fun.

We prepared songs and dances. In addition to the traditional dances of the area, singers and break dance teams who supported this project were invited from Kathmandu to perform in front of everyone.
The singer is Rupak Dotel. The singing was exciting the venue. The Break Dance Team is the Nepal Hip Hop Foundation (NHF), one of Nepal’s most powerful teams. The children and locals who saw such dances for the first time were very exciting.
Usha Kala Rai, a female member of an assembly, gave a speech. In addition, Major Rai,Mayor of Limchungbung, an online school project, came to support us.

The final speech was by Sharad Rai.

Sharad talked passionately to the children about the possibilities they have. The school bag delivery event was a great success from beginning to end. With the support of many people, school bags were sent to children with the desire to go to school happily.

In addition to the venue, school bags were distributed to public schools in Diplin, Kothang, Okardunga and Lamechap Districts.

Thank you for reading.
See you next time.
